As the weather in Germany is kind of unpredictable, we were happy to see, that the first guided bicycle tour of the season yesterday could be done with temperatures around 19°C (66°F), which is a nice spring day for Cologne.

As river cruise ships usually dock at the boardwalk of the old town, or a little bit in front of the Hohenzollern Bridge one of our go-to routes is to ride the bicycles to the most southern parts of the city. Along the way, we then ride through the beautiful old Rheinauhafen, which is part of a big urban regeneration project in the city and home of the famous crane houses, the Chocolate Museum or businesses like Electronic Arts or Microsoft.

After crossing the Rodenkirchener Bridge in the south, we go back in the other direction again and continue the guided tour riding the bikes along the riverbank and the meadows of Cologne Poll (Poller Wiesen), through Cologne Deutz and then cross the Rhine again at the Hohenzollern Bridge.
